Open since 1999, former New Yorker Larry Snyder’s The Shack has acquired the status as one of Koh Samui’s premier steakhouses. Near the end of the main street in Bophut’s charismatic Fisherman’s Village, this restaurant features a menu of premium choice cuts of Wagyu beef. As most diner’s consistently rave, the high-grade meat is more than likely to please. Care and appreciation is provided by kitchen staff to preserve the tenderness of The Shack’s quality meats and steaks. Paying homage to the classic steakhouse, The Shack offers endless comfort food favorites.

While many non-meat eaters tend to be doubtful upon entering the traditional steakhouse, The Shack offers an abundance of excellent veggie or fish friendly items equally as succulent as the restaurant’s meat dishes. Whether the lifestyle of choice is vegetarian, pescatarian, lacto-ovo and so forth, the vast menu features fresh ingredients and enjoyable recipes.
Despite The Shack’s open-aired dining setting on the quite lively Fisherman’s Village road, the venue is manages to capture a certain level of jazz club intimacy.

Naturally, the full bar and extensive wine list assists in achieving such intimacy, as well complimenting the exquisite meats available. While the hearty meal may leave little room for dessert, it is highly recommended to indulge in one of The Shack’s infamously delicious espresso martinis.
